We were not alone on the beachfront as it was New Years and there was much to celebrate. As the excitement of New Years 2022 edged closer, so did Jeremy’s anticipation. We joined in the festivities as we heard the count down of final seconds of 2021. Fireworks filled the sky from every direction and cheers echoed from our surrounding neighbors. As the initial excitement of New Years passed, Carla turned around to see Jeremy on one knee with a ring in hand. To say Carla was shocked is an understatement.
